Learn more about Bowflex fitness equipment

Bowflex is a subsidiary of Nautilus best known for combination home gyms with multiple exercise options, but the company makes single-use machines as well. From cardiovascular exercise to strength training, Bowflex has a number of options to offer someone interested in expanding their home fitness routine.

Bowflex Home Gyms

Bowflex sells several different comprehensive home gyms. The Bowflex Revolution supports more than 100 different exercises, allowing the user to get a complete full-body workout with a single machine—vital for a home gym where space (and money) can be an issue. The standard Bowflex Revolution comes with 220 pounds of available resistance, meaning multiple users of varying strengths can get an effective workout with a single machine. In addition to a bench, the Bowflex Revolution includes a curl attachment, leg-press plates, a squat harness, a rowing machine and other elements to allow for a variety of different exercises.

The Bowflex Sport home gym is an older model that has been discontinued but can still be found, especially in shops that specialize in used fitness equipment. The Sport originally sold for less than one-third the price of the current Bowflex Revolution, so it remains popular with those seeking discount home gyms. With many of the same features as the Bowflex Revolution—including up to 210 pounds of resistance, a lat tower, a squat station, a leg-extension attachment and a sliding seat for rowing—the Sport offers a full-body workout in one compact machine.

Bowflex Individual Options

The Bowflex Treadclimber is Bowflex's combination of a treadmill and a stair climber. The Treadclimber features two dual-motion treads that allow the user to walk like they're on a treadmill but that also rise with each step to give the user the feel of climbing stairs at the same time. This allows the user to burn more calories than they would just using a traditional treadmill.

Bowflex SelectTech is a line of dumbbells and free weights that provides the workout of 15 traditional weight sets in just one pair of weights. A special dial on each dumbbell allows users to set the weight anywhere from 5 to 52.5 pounds (in 2.5-pound increments). No more changing plates or switching dumbbells—just a quick turn of the dial is all you need to increase or decrease weight for the optimum workout! For more serious weightlifters, the SelectTech 1090 provides a weight range of 10 to 90 pounds, replacing 17 sets of traditional free weights.
